The Zambian financial system has made substantial progress in expanding financial inclusion in the past five years. Overall, the FinScope 2020 findings indicate that 69.4 per cent of adult Zambians are financially included (meaning they use some form of financial service in managing their financial lives). When it comes to women’s financial inclusion, progress has been made in narrowing the gap between women and their male counterparts. However, there is still much work to be done in order to address this gap
